Charlie Sheen was born September 3, 1965 in New York, NY as Carlos Irwin Estevez. Son of actor Martin Sheen and Janet Estevez and brother to actor Emilio Estevez , Renée Estevez and Ramon Estevez He fought constantly with older brother Emilio. He was a good student but then let his grades slipped when he skipped school in high school to play baseball. Charlie had dreams of pitching for a baseball team (he is a huge Cincinnatti Reds fan), but he turned to acting. He made his youthful screen debut in The Execution of Private Slovik (1974), which starred his dad and also appeared in 1979's Apocalypse Now with his father He had other supporting roles in film. Oliver Stone cast him in the Vietnam saga, Platoon. The films success established Sheen as a young star on the rise.
In the late 80s, he joined his brother Emilio in the Western Young Guns. Charlie also acted in several comedies including Major League, Men at Work and Hot Shots! He also took a cameo in his brother's parody film National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon I, and starred in The Three Musketeers. Charlie has dated several women who are in the spotlight. When he was 16, Charlie used to date actress Robin Wright. Charlie was once engaged to Kelly Preston but soon after broke the engagement. He also dated former adult film star Ginger Lynn Allen
