Tall, blond-haired character actor and occasional leading man. Born and raised in Hollywood, he got into the family business right out of college, debuting in Now You See Him, Now You Don't (1972). He had supporting roles in such varied films as The In-Laws (1979), Cat People (1982), This Is Spinal Tap (1984), Amazon Women on the Moon (1987), and The Accidental Tourist (1988). He snagged male leads in She-Devil (1989) and Meet the Applegates (1991), which exercised his comedic skills. Also known for his Emmy nominated performance as Dr. Ehrlich on the "St. Elsewhere" TV series (1982-88), he starred in 1994's "Winnetka Road." Films include Greedy and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (both 1994)
