Proof was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He was known for his freestyle talents. He won the Source Magazine Freestyling Competition back in 1999. He was a childhood friend of Eminem.
During his cameo in 8 Mile, he asked if he could just use his real name, so that he would be playing himself in 1995, when the film is set. The director decided against it, but he still manage to sneak is name as an acronym when he raps in the film, "I'll (P)unish (R)abbit (O)r (O)bsolete (F)uture."
He was a member of Eminem's group D12.
He died April 11, 2006 in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
