Rocky Carroll was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He attended the School for the Performing and Creative Arts (SPCA) in Cincinnati.
He was nominated for Broadway's 1990 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Play) for August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson."
