Frank John Hughes was born in the Bronx, New York. He studied Jazz composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston before making his feature film debut in Robert Celestino's True Convictions. Since then he has starred in such films as: Bad Boys, Lonely in America, "Cost Of Living", The Funeral, _Layin' Low" (1996)_ , Robbers and won mass critical acclaim for his role as John Vincent in Robert Celestino's, _Vincent, Mr. (1997)_ which appeared at the Sundance Film Festival. He will next be seen in Steven Spielberg's feature Catch Me If You Can in the role of Tom Fox opposite Tom Hanks and 'Leonardo Di Caprio' . A veteran of many television appearances Mr. Hughes was most recently seen on T.V. in the role of "Wild Bill" Guarnere in the H.B.O mini series event, Band of Brothers which won the American Film Institute Award for best mini series and the Golden Globe for best mini series. Hughes starred opposite Ice T. and Costas Mandylor in the Dick Wolf series Players for N.B.C. Other appearances include: "Cover Me" (series regular), "Law and Order", "Homicide: Life On The Street", "Feds", "U.C.: Undercover" and many others.
