With DysFunKtional Family, Scary Movie 3 and My Baby's Mama out on DVD, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo coming in August and a starring role in New Regency's comedy Romantic Comedy currently shooting, Eddie Griffin is now enjoying the film career that he always planned. DysFunKtional Family, a Miramax release combined Griffin's stand-up comedy act with a cinema verite look at his personal life. Debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, Griffin produced, co-wrote and performed on the soundtrack with Suge Knight. DysFunKtional Family was produced by Gold Circle Films in association with Permut Presentations and Heartland Productions. Griffin strengthened his relationship with Miramax with My Baby's Mama and Scary Movie 3, which is a Dimension film. For My Baby's Daddy, Griffin starred, co-wrote and produced. The comedy is a look at how young men deal with the responsibility of having children. Griffin's previous film credits include John Q, The New Guy, Double Take, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and Armageddon. He is best known to television audiences as the star of UPN's hit comedy series Malcolm & Eddie. Griffin was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for "Best Actor in a Comedy Series" for his portrayal.
