Adam Baldwin
Born: Feb 27, 1962
The acting career of Adam Baldwin, no relation to the famous Baldwin brothers Alec, William, and Stephen, has been filled with ups and downs as he aspires to the stardom that as yet, seems to elude him. Due to his muscular 6'4" frame, the handsome Baldwin is frequently cast as hulking bad guys and psychopathic killers. As a youth in Chicago, Adam grew up with the image of the American hero, as depicted by the likes of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Steve McQueen. As a Chicago teenager, Baldwin was chosen from among four thousand aspiring actors to play the title role in the 1980 feature film, "My Bodyguard." During the same year he also landed a part in "Ordinary People," directed by Robert Redford. Baldwin moved to Los Angeles in 1984, where he studied with the great Roy London. He has since played a variety of roles in a wide range of films. His television movies have included Showtime's "The Trade Off," HBO's "Blind Justice," and NBC's " Murder in High Places," and of course "The Cape." Some Baldwin's feature films include Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket," "Radio Flyer," directed by Richard Donner, and Lawrence Kasdan's "Wyatt Earp." He had a major role in the science fiction interplanetary war film, "Independence Day", and more recently in Centropolis's SCI-FI Thriller: "The Visitor", and others.
